Our division is currently seeking an HR Administrator to support the Human Resources Department at the CPSO. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the HRIS database for the CPSO’s approximately 400 employees. You will ensure that information such as personal details; attendance and work history are entered accurately and efficiently into the HRIS system. Using your expertise in the Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system, you will act as subject matter expert with respect to Dayforce administration and respond to general inquiries from staff regarding benefits, pension, HR policies and procedures. Supporting staff and management, you will create standard and ad-hoc reports using the HRIS database on a regular and as-needed basis.


Using your strong organizational skills and attention to detail, you will establish, maintain and audit electronic and paper employee files as well as ensure files are organized, stored and retained in accordance with records retention protocols. You will manage benefit enrollments and ensure that all employee records reflect accurate information in the insurance provider’s system. In addition, you will provide overall office and administrative support to the HR Department in all areas of HR functions. Other duties will include;

  • Preparing invoices in relation to department expenditures
  • Providing support and assistance for bi-weekly payroll functions
  • Coordinating and tracking legislative compliance training
  • Planning College events such as the Long Term Service and Staff Appreciation event
  • Other duties as required


  • Ceridian Dayforce experience is required
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management with a minimum of three years’ experience in Human Resources with experience administering pension and benefits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a sensitive and highly confidential environment.
  • Extremely service oriented and highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage workload and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide attention to detail and accuracy.
