Summary:
On April 4, 2024, the Tribunal found that Dr. Ladhani engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct in relation to his behaviour at Hamilton Health Sciences, including:
- taking a colleague’s bag without their knowledge or consent;
- inappropriately disposing of and/or attempting to dispose of some of the contents of the colleague’s bag, including the colleague’s personal documents and patient medical records; and
- providing false and/or misleading information during the hospital’s security investigation.
The Tribunal ordered that:
- Dr. Ladhani attend before the panel to be reprimanded;
- the Registrar suspend Dr. Ladhani’s certificate of registration for two months commencing April 5, 2024, at 12:01 a.m.;
- the Registrar place terms, conditions and limitations on Dr. Ladhani’s certificate of registration;
- Dr. Ladhani pay the College costs in the amount of $6,000 by May 3, 2024.
