Physician-Assisted Death Guidance

As the federal government rushes to meet a June 6th deadline to have physician-assisted death legislation in place, the College has stepped in to provide physicians with guidance about their obligations to patients in the interim.

Treating Those Closest to You

Council has approved  the Physician Treatment of Self, Family Members and Others Close to Them policy that sets out the circumstances in which it may be acceptable for physicians to provide treatment to individuals with whom they have a personal or close relationship.

Expanding Access to Naloxone

We’ve changed College policy in order to permit physicians to prescribe naloxone for inclusion in opioid overdose emergency kits.
