Policy: Consultations

We welcome your feedback

Consultations with the public, profession, and other stakeholders are a vital part of College policy development and review. Considering the views of our stakeholders helps us form policy that is helpful to the profession, clearly communicates the College’s expectations for physicians, and fulfills our statutory mandate to protect the public. We look forward to hearing your views and suggestions.

Please review information about our consultation process and posting guidelines below.

Provide your feedback:

By email or by mailing address, provided on consulation page for each policy under review.

Our process

The College invites your comments on both new and revised policies. We may also ask for your comments on existing policies that are under review. Your feedback helps us assess the policy and determine the issues we should consider throughout the review process, and informs policy development.

To ensure transparency and encourage open dialogue, the feedback we receive is posted on our website in accordance with our posting guidelines.

The College’s Executive Committee and Council review your comments before making any decisions about what is included in the final version of the policy. All feedback is carefully considered, even that which is not reflected in the final policy. When finalizing the policy content, the College will consider the extent to which your suggestions or comments represent the expectations of the profession, and are consistent with our mandate as a medical regulatory body. See About Us for more information on our mandate and role.

Posting Guidelines

  • is unrelated to the policy or issue under consultation
