Scope of Search: Internal/External

As a member of the Senior Management Team and reporting to the Medical Director of Complaints, you will be accountable for the operational components of the College’s complaints and investigative processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the investigative teams
  • Ensure an effective organizational infrastructure to best deliver programs within areas of accountability
  • Oversee development of effective processes and services through a commitment to continuous quality improvement
  • Accountable for work outcomes and achievement of KPI’s;
  • Promote a productive, positive work environment and maintain an engaged workforce
  • Accountable for all financial aspects including budgets and business cases
  • Develop and manage team goals and objectives in support of the College’s strategic and corporate plans
  • Build constructive and collaborative internal and external relationships
  • Lead and/or participate in the conception/development of operational initiatives

Qualifications:

  • A relevant advanced degree in a professional discipline pertinent to the position
  • Experience as a leader with demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional collaboration and leadership skills to influence and support staff through change
  • A strategic thinker capable of aligning department goals with the College’s strategic direction
  • Ability to multi-task across a diversity of priorities and issues at any given time
  • A good understanding of the professional expectations of physicians and their challenges in providing quality medical care
  • A solid understanding and demonstrated commitment to building public and physician trust in self-regulation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues
  • An understanding of policies, procedures, standards and applicable legislation related to CPSO mandate, including RHPA, HPPC, Medicine Act, SPPA, Consent to Treatment Act, Mental Health Act etc.
