Summary:
Where a disciplinary finding is made against a member on or after September 1, 2015 by a medical regulatory or licensing authority in a jurisdiction outside Ontario, the College By-laws require certain information about the finding to be posted on the register, if the finding is known to the College.
The following are non-Ontario disciplinary findings made against this member, as known to the College, together with the corresponding information:
On September 18, 2019, the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board issued a Final Decision and Order, with the agreement of Dr. Adelberg. Dr. Adelberg was found to have engaged in unprofessional conduct by (a) becoming subject to an adverse determination by another regulatory agency relating to the practice of medicine and surgery, and (b) failing to report the action taken by CPSO in July 2018 to the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board within 30 days. (In July 2018, Dr. Adelberg entered into an undertaking with CPSO requiring him to attend individualized instruction in medical ethics and to review and provide summaries of relevant CPSO policies). The Order also reprimanded Dr. Adelberg. The College was notified of this finding by a report received on October 8, 2019.

The following are non-Ontario disciplinary findings made against this member, as known to the College, together with the corresponding information:
On July 12, 2019, the Florida Board of Medicine approved and adopted a Settlement Agreement between Dr. Adelberg and the Florida Department of Health as an Order of the Board. Dr. Adelberg was alleged to have violated Florida Statutes as a result of the action taken against Dr. Adelberg by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in July 2018 when Dr. Adelberg entered into an undertaking requiring him to attend individualized instruction in medical ethics and to review and provide summaries of relevant CPSO policies. The following penalties were imposed: a letter of concern against Dr. Adelberg’s medical license and a fine of $1000. The College was notified of this finding by a report received on July 16, 2019.

The following are non-Ontario disciplinary findings made against this member, as known to the College, together with the corresponding information:
On May 15, 2019, the Michigan Board of Medicine found that Dr. Adelberg violated the Michigan Public Health Code as a result of the adverse administrative action taken against him by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in July 2018 when Dr. Adelberg entered into an undertaking requiring him to attend individualized instruction in medical ethics and to review and provide summaries of relevant CPSO policies. The Michigan Board of Health, with Dr. Adelberg’s consent, ordered that Dr. Adelberg be reprimanded and fined $1200. The College was notified of this finding by a report dated June 21, 2019.
