Registrar Dr. Rocco Gerace Stepping Down

Recruitment for Replacement Underway

Dr. Rocco Gerace, Registrar of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, has announced his plans to step down in 2018.

Dr. Gerace started his tenure at the College as a non-Council member on the Discipline Committee in 1995. He was the University of Western Ontario’s academic appointment to Council in 1996 and became President in 2001. He was appointed Registrar in 2002.

College President Dr. David Rouselle said that, “Dr. Gerace has ushered in a new age of regulation, distinguished the College as a respected leader in all aspects of professional regulation and championed openness and transparency.”
