OHP Medical Director engagement in the Pilot will help to shape the future state of the OHP-focused QI program and will contribute to improving the quality of care and services provided within the OHP space.
Please see below for an overview of the required steps of the QI for OHP Medical Directors Pilot components.
Step #1
You will receive a personalized Medical Director OHP Data Report which will provide you with OHP-level data to guide the identification of a QI opportunity within the OHP(s) that you oversee.
Step #2
You will complete an OHP QI Standards Review Tool and will submit the tool to CPSO staff.
Step #3
You will meet with a CPSO OHP Medical Advisor for a QI Support Call. During this call you will come prepared with reflections regarding your Medical Director OHP Data Report and your OHP QI Standards Review Tool and will have an opportunity to ask for Medical Advisor support regarding other resources that may be helpful to you during the pilot process. The Medical Advisor will provide you with QI coaching and support to help you to identify a present problem/QI focus within your OHP(s). You will be provided with a QI Support Call Summary.
Step #4
You will complete an OHP Medical Director Practice Improvement Plan (PIP) by leveraging the insights gained from your Medical Director OHP Data Report, OHP QI Standards Review Tool, and QI Support Call Summary. You will submit your PIP to CPSO staff for review. To support you to develop a successful PIP, you are encouraged to reference the required PIP criteria.
