CPD Credits for Board and Committees

Print page icon

Physician Board and Committee members can earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for participating on the CPSO Board and/or a committee. Here’s how:

The College of Family Physicians of Canada

  1. You may claim non-certified credits for participation on a CPSO committee. You can count the time spent participating at committee meetings, and also the time spent on the work of the committee.
    • Go to cfpc.ca/login and log in to Mainpro+
    • Click the ENTER A CPD ACTIVITY button below your name (in the top left of the screen)
    • Type "Committee participation" in the search bar
    • Fill out the form and click submit
  2. You can also earn certified credits by completing a Linking Learning exercise (such as a Linking Learning to Administration). As Linking Learning exercises are based on what was learned from the activity, not the time spent, your participation on a committee or at a single meeting could possibly generate multiple questions or learning opportunities. The exercise requires you to generate a question on information that you have acquired as a result of your participation on that committee.
    • Go to cfpc.ca/login
    • Click the ENTER A CPD ACTIVITY button below your name (in the top left of the screen)
    • In the search bar enter: Linking Learning to Assessment
    • Click Claim Credits
    • Answer all the questions on the form
    • Click submit

For questions regarding Mainpro+ credit reporting please contact the CFPC at: [email protected] cfpc.ca or 1-800-387-6197 x560.
